The question is clear enoughto me.

I take it that you have 2 mice and 2 receivers. It looks as if you need to change the channel on one mouse/receiver combo - check the documentation as to how to do this and ensure that the other computer is off at the time.

To Xrozz. sorry , i will explain again. we have 2 desks in the office thatwe have installed wireless mouse's to each, they are approx 2 meters apart and are recieving each others signal causing the arrow to move on the other computer as well as its own. However we have found out that if both pc's are in use then they pick up there own signal.. so at the moment all is well it depends on if the manager is fiddling about with the pc.
To Peter C. we do not have any documentation for the mouses, they were supplied by our council, and we don't trust them as previous posts from me will show. so how , if i need to, can i change the chanel?
And thanks to both of you.

If possible get the documentation off the manufacturer's website.

Look on the transmitter/receiver and the underside of the mouse for a small button labeled 'Connect'. If present press the one on the transmitter using a pencil point or similar followed by the one on the mouse.

It would be advisable to have the other computer off or the transmitter/receiver disconnected.

Not all systems have this facility and in this case - ????

    Hey Spanner,
Thanks for your explanation, now i get it. I ges PeteC is right, change the frequencies of the devices-i guess they are running on the same channel and therefore colliding with each other. Get to the manufacturer's website and get details on how to change their frequencies. Let us know your progress.

    Cheers,
    Xrozz

Spanner, I agree with Pete. I have two wireless mice operating within 1 metre of each other - no problems. They are dissimilar in Brand and give no problem.
It's like wireless push button household entry chimes. They have a bridge connection inside each unit which can be altered. I have one push button to operate two chimes just by setting the connector bridge on both to the same bridge, I can have them both operate simultaneously at different ends of the house.
I've had a look in my wireless mice and cannot see any obvious switches which would enable a change of frequency. It may be necessary to purchase different brands of mice hence Pete' advice to seek help from the manufacturer might be your best option. Cheers Neil.

Morning Neil (retiredlearner) we have a (wireless) corgi dog that tells us someone is on the drive.
However all is well with mice, after a chat with Council IT chap I found a very small s.crew under a rubber pad (foot) gave it a tweek and everyone is happy, (manager can no longer fiddle), not sure what the range is of the signal but as everything working ok I will leave well alone. Thanks Neil.
And thanks to Xrozz and PeteC.

You're welcome - glad to hear that the mice are behaving themselves now :)
