wireless laptop booster

    am looking for some recommendations on a usb wireless antenna booster for laptops. have some clients that the wireless is not as strong as they would like so have been looking for a device to boost signals.

    If all these clients work at the same location, perhaps it is the WAP (typically integrated in a wireless router) that needs to be changed and not all the notebook adapters. Or maybe a range extender would work. Replacing the router or buying an extender may be cheaper than buying several adapters. Also note that a more powerful transmitter in the adapter will consume more battery power.

    actually with one client i used linksys expander and signal went from 2 bars up to 5. so that is a good option but its also a 90.00 device. other clients are out remotely and just beyond the range of their wireless so the antenna should do the trick. i hope.

    Well, they are scattered about at different locations, you have no choice but to address each notebook individually, instead of a wireless network solution.
