I have one computer win xppro with isdn connection through a modem to the internet and to a 802.11g wireless DSL-/cabelgateway-router. I have one laptop with win98se with a wireless network card. What are the best and savest settings to connect the laptop with the desktop. What are the network settings on the laptop. Is it windows family logon or logon to the microsoft network. How can i share the internet connection the save way and let the laptop connect to the internet?

I know it isn't the easy way but it is what it is...

Setting the XP PC up as your ICS host and the other as an ICS client should do the job for you.

Viper has a pretty good how-to for the host/server part of this. Written for Win2K and DSL but should be very similar to what you have.

And Here is a good one from PracticallyNetworked.com on doing the client piece on Win98.
