I have an 8.1 desktop, wired to a new wireless Canon printer. So far so good, except that the OEM disc got discarded by mistake, and before I could add the printer to my two laptops (wife 8.1 and me Win7). So I did the "add a printer," got an update of printers, located the series MX920, marked it default and can actually see the exact printer picture on each laptop. Requested a test page from both and got a printer error. Tried to print a regular page, no go. My wife's old laptop could print wirelessly, but it was on a different printer (replaced by this one). What am I doing wrong?

After emailing Canon support, I went to the suggested site and found the right formula to gedt the printer going. I did not have the password of the Netgear WPS, but found it later, so it was a long couple of hours, but I have printers all working. Thanks for asking. always appreciuate the help. I did have print capacity, but it was USB for the desktop. The other two laptops are now wireless. Thanks again. Problem solved!
