I'm running Windows XP Home SP2 on a Sony laptop with a LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g miniPCI Adapter on a home network. The other comps in the house work fine, but the problem comp shows that it is connected to the wireless network but Status shows empty fields for the IP Address, Subnet Mask and everything else under the support tab. It was working fine until a few days ago. Unfortunately, it is a friend's comp so I can't narrow down the cause.

I've tried driver updates with no luck. I've tried setting up a new network which didn't change anything either. I'd appreciate the help.

    EDIT: Further info:
Device Manager, View - Show Hidden Devices
Under "Non-Plug and Play Drivers ", there are three items with exclamations: AVG Network Redirector, IP Network Address Translator and TCP/IP Protocol Driver. Properties on the TCP/IP driver shows a "Device not present....code 24 ".

May want to try reinstalling the drivers for the miniPCI Adapter.

The above could also mean that the miniPCI Adapter has faild.
