    Hey All,

I installed XP on a virgin drive, then reinstalled to change the partition it was on. I now hang up at the OS choice screen for 30 seconds unless I am there; the second "Windows XP" option does not function, understandably...looking in the wrong places.

I could not find a file "boot.ini" as I thought I might where these commands are stored. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You have a boot.ini file somewhere. Maybe you have not unhidden hidden files and folders?
In any case, right-click My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Startup and Recovery settings. You can set your present OS as the default and make the choice screen appear for 0 seconds.

You can see your boot.ini file by clicking the Edit button in Startup and Recovery, too.
