Attempting to slipstream WinXP with SP1 I get errors.
Immediately after entering in update /s:c:\winxp cd (where my I386 files are) I get the error:
failed to copy some or all of the files necessary for integrated install.
    Please check that:
a No network or copy errors occurred during the integration process
b the format of the destination directory is correct

I have checked and verified the above and still get this pop up box each time. Any suggestions? btw, whether you have update or update.exe doesn't matter. Both source (update) and destination (I386) files have been verified.

    Hi, Raw ~

Did you copy the entire XP CD? The entire contents need be copied to your destination folder.

Did you extract the service pack files to a folder?

For help, take a look at this or this.

Abraxas bingo! That did it. Thanks so much for your reply. I'm good to go now. Thanks also for you suggestion Bruce as I appreciated the assist. All my files were extracted and had the proper files/folders such as I386 and update in there as well but the slipstream just wasn't starting. Thanks again boys. =-)

    Great!

I could tell from the intelligent nature of the question that probably not too much had gotten past you, so it had to be something "hiding in plain sight ". :D

Sometimes for me those hiding in plain sight is harder to find than the ones really hiding!

Yeah. For me, too. But I'm trying to train myself to look at the obvious. You know, things like checking if the modem is plugged in before reinstalling DUN 10 times.

One of my math teachers told me that I always found the most difficult way of doing things. There is some truth to that ;) .
