I have a Dell Latitude C400 and normally connect to an NT Domain using the built in Wireless Card. All works normally.

At home I have a Linksys WAP11 and Linksys Router connected to a DSL line. The Dell can see the WAP and connect just fine. An IPCONFIG/all shows that an IP Address and DNS Addresses have been obtained thru DHCP. I turned off the Use Proxy Server, which is used when logged into the NT Domain. However, I cannot get Internet Explorer to access any Web Site nor can it access the local network, e.g. 192.168.1.1

A different laptop using a wireless card performs perfectly fine so I know the Access Point is working OK.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this problem on the Dell?

Pipe the results of an IPCONFIG /ALL to a text file (to save yourself some typing) and post the results here.

ipconfig /all > c:\stuff-to-post.txt will do it or any other name you want to give the text file.

Problem solved....apparently when the Laptop was originally configured to connect to the NT domain a Software Firewall Agent was also installed. Once disabled the problem went away.
    Thanks,
    Larry
