    Hi,

I've recently reinstalled my fujitsu simens laptop with Windows XP (Home edition) but now my builtin wifi card doesn't work. Using sp2 and all the latest drivers from fujitsu simens homepage.

The wifi card is enabled in device manager.

Have tryed the laptop on several wireless networks without any luck.

    Appreciate any advice ?

    define 'doesn't work' exactly.

is it present and 'ok' in devicemanger?

what errors, if any, do u receive?

if no errors, what specfic settings do u have currently and what are trying to connect to?

The device is ok in device manager.

Tryed both letting windows control the card and the utility that came with the card.

    No error messages.

The wifi card just doesn't find any network even when laptop is 2 inches away from a wireless router that works for both of my flat-mates.

Is there a switch or a function key somewhere to turn on the WIFI antenna?

what is the security settings on that router? u MUST meet those if they're set. check the router doesn't have MAC filtering on. if it does, add u'r MAC address.

assuming that the router is compatible on signal here too. eg - u'r doing G and the router does G too.
