is it possible to allow access to port 1024 with the built in winXP firewall???

i don't want my ftp server running on port 21, but if i change it to a port between 1024 and 65536, the firewall puts the port in stealth mode.

and i obviously don't want to turn the firewall off completely, is there a way to just enable 1 port between 1024 & 65536???

    thnx

It's not clear on whether you've messed around with the XP firewall settings to open a port but, if not, here's where to do that.

Go to Network Connections, right click on the connection, go to Properties>Advanced tab>Settings button>Add button. Fill in the appropriate information and the port you want to open. Check the ICMP tab to see if any of those boxes need to be checked to accomplish what you want.
