    Hello,

My Windows XP is giving me problems.

Sometimes it runs very slow, to which I find no explanations. And the system hangs 2-3 times in a day.

When I press ct-alt-del, i find dumprep running and taking most of the memory.
All I can do is end the dumprep program and the system turns normal again. But I find doing this a bit risky.

The PC also restarted without any notices 2-3 times in the last 10 days.
After restarting, all I got was - do you want to send error report to ms?

The below errors were copied by me on 2 occasions

    1)
    BCCode : 4e BCP1 : 00000099 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : 00000000
    BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 768_1

    2)
    BCCode : 26 BCP1 : 000401F4 BCP2 : EE94A920 BCP3 : EE94A61C
    BCP4 : F7752271 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 768_1

    Error code 00000026, parameter1 000401f4, parameter2 ee94a920, parameter3 ee94a61c, parameter4 f7752271.

    ---------------

I searched on this forum and found a thread where both the things were said to be related. Do I assume the same to be true in my case?

But why does dumprep start running any time it wishes?
Is it a harbinger for bigger things to come?

    What should I do?

Please guide and thank you very much in advance.
    Regards.
