WinFax off hook

I have been faxing thru the XP FAX for a while. Occasionally, the FAX mode opens, on its own, and does not shut down. What I mean is, it indicates and OffHook status for my phone and I cannot use the phone until I fix the problem by shutting down.

Is there a way for me to do that without having to shut down my computer?

 

Is there some unsent fax that the fax program keeps trying to send? Look at your logs for the faxes and see if there is a fax still trying to be sent. If there is, delete it and that should solve your problem.
