MSI laptop was connecting fine. Had to do a recovery. Now when attempting to connect, the access point is showing and clicking connect it will not ask for the hex key. Will go straight to the unable to connect window. When attempting to connect to neighbors it will ask for the key. Also when attempting to access the stored connection in manage networks. It is not listed. Any suggestions.

Hi and welcome to the WindowsBBS community.

What sort of "recovery" did you do? Most of us would consider that putting the computer back to factory condition.

Check what level of encryption you are trying to connect to, WEP, WPA or WPA2. The settings might not be picking up your wireless network.

Used the originaly backup that came stored on the hard drive.

I have attempted to go in and check the encryption but I cannot find a way. There are other networks showing in the list. When I click on them it ask for the access code. However when I click on my home network does not ask. Just attempts to connect and then gives me the unable to connect. As if the access key is stored and is wrong but will not ask for a new one either.
