I used to copy my Win2000 to a spare drive which gave me a double so if
    I had a system problem I could
replace the drive fast. Now when
I try to copy it often messes up both
    systems.
I don't want ot use the backup. I want
to have an exact copy on a spare drive.
Does anyone know of a program that
will not damage the originalWindows Copy and can make the second
    one on my spare drive?

    Thanks!

There are a few that I know:

Drive Image is probably the easiest but not the cheapest. ($70)

Instant Recovery works well but less user friendly. ($35)

XXCOPY is freeware but you'll have to take the time to learn how to use the CLONE command. It's fairly easy and very convenient once you set it up in a batch file. It can be configured to either do full or incrementals.

    Good luck.

    Backup of W2K etc

IMHO Acronis True Image at $US44.99 is about as good as you can get. I used it to image my master drive before upgrading to W2K and it saved hours of time after the upgrade.

I've now used it to create an image of the newly installed system etc.

    Thanks for the input tkierans,

I haven't tested that one but it looks like it does all that Drive Image does and for fewer coins. I have personally used/tested the others that i mentioned and one day I'll get yours for comparison.

    Cheers.
