Had a computer given to me, I do know that it has Windows XP, when I turn it on, it does not boot up, gives me a Stop C000021 Fatel System Error Session manager intialization terminated unexpectenly by system process the system is shutting down. Then it reboots and goes through the same process and repeats this over and over. It will not let me boot into the Safe mode or anything else. I have tried to put boot from the CD, but have not had any luck.

I dunno exactly what stop code it is giving you but that ain't it. Not enough numbers.

What happens when you try to boot from the CD?

That IS a valid Stop Error. He mispelled the word "fatal" - fatel.

Boot ffrom the XP CD and when prompted select to "Repair ".

A couple of things come to mind.

GoBack has been known to get improperly un-installed and cause that error message (I have done some interpolation with your posted string) and problem. That would require a MBR repair. It can't be done with FDISK and requires that you run a special file that is tailored for that purpose. Perhaps inquire as to whether GoBack was used on the drive and if so post back for further info.

Another possibility would be bad RAM. Pull half if you have such a configuration and if no love try the other half. Else, try known good if you have such.

GoBack give the stop error: Stop C000021a (notice the lower case A)

    Still won't boot up

I tried to boot from the CD, but it would not proceed. Tried to set to a previous state, but it would not allow me to do this. When the Blue Screen appeared, it stated that Stop C000021 fatal system error occured in the Session Manager initialization, terminated unexpectenly by system process.
0xc000026c-0x00000000-0x00000000 The System is shutting down.

This MS article has help for this problem.

You may have to enable booting from CD in the BIOS.
