I tried to install the Office XP SR-2 and Windows XP Pro came back with an error message saying "The system Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation ". Then I tried to load Ghost 2002 and got the same message. I logged in as "Administrator" and get the same message.

I created another account and set the priveleges to Administrator and I get the same message. Now I have 3 accounts that are set to Administrator prevs and can not install these two items.

So how can I set the policies so I can install programs??

hi sparky, that's what you get when you play with group policy settings, you will find these in your (C:\WINDOWS\system32)
It is called (gpedit.exe) please set a manual system restore point before you have a play on here, i am not quite sure whereabout, the key is? but it is in here somewhere!
