I am running Windows XP Home Edition and having lots of trouble getting my USB 2.0 devices to work properly. After installing the Adaptec DuoConnect Card and correct USB 2.0 drivers and plugging in my 120 GB Maxtor External Usb 2.0 hard drive, my computer either freezes when shutting down or does not provide any video (black screen) when booting.

I'm pretty sure I have everything configured correctly in the BIOS, but just was curious if anyone else is having a problem with XP & USB 2.0 and/or VIA chipsets...

I have a Soyo Dragon Plus! motherboard, VIA KT266A chipset with an AMD Athlon XP 1800+, Xtasy 64 MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 (Micron), 512 MB DDR RAM, 40 GB Internal Maxtor DiamondMax Plus Hard Drive, Maxtor 120 GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive, Adaptec Duo Connect USB 2.0/Firewire card.

it my understanding that XP doesn't support USB 2.0 yet.
