    Hi,

I have a machine on which i have windows xp installed. However, since i need to
copy data frequently i decided to convert its hard disk to an external using an usb hard drive enclosure.

However when i use this external drive now while booting, XP throws a blue screen after the windows logo during booting. Does Windows XP support booting from an external disk?

    Thanks

Windows will not normally boot from a USB drive. You can read this.
