Windows XP security settings problem with system restore

    hi. i have a problem with system restore. when i try to open it, i get a message that says i do not have enough security privildges to run but i'm a computer adminsitartive. Also when i go to syste m properties system restore is not there. When i log in with the built in administartive account it works fine. Please helllllllllllppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

    Well, it sounds like you are not logging in with an account with Administrative privileges!

    When you are logged into the account where you have trouble, go to Control Panel > User Accounts, now what does it say beneath your account name?

    XP-home or XP-Pro?

    Does the account you are using belong to the Administrator group? If not, you will need to log on with the administrator account and add it.

    i belong to administartive group....my account is an administartive account .i have windows xp pro
