Windows XP recommended update DirectX - Managed DirectX 9.0

    Hi

    I am having a problem with a Windows XP recommended update

    The update is for DirectX 9.0 - Managed Direct X. It seems to download from the site but then fails on install. I have tried many times to no avail.

    I have also renamed the Catroot2 folder as suggested on your site.

    All other updates seem to install fine

    Have you any ideas?

    Hello Mick,

    Can't help with why it's not installing.

    You can try "clearing the decks ". If you have System Restore enabled, restore back to the point prior before the failed install attempt. This is a good idea anyway for any failed update or install of software in general.

    Then you can try again.
