Windows XP Professional is my operating System. I have kept the operating system up to date with the updates from the Microsoft iupdates web page.

    Hardware is Toshia laptop.

Problem is every time I drag and drop a file to copy to a new Windows Folder, the Windows XP Installer program starts up. I have to keep clicking cancel until the Windows XP Installer quits. After the Windows XP Installer quits, the file is copied to the new folder.

The last install of a product on Windows XP was Roxio's Easy Media reator 7.0 and the updates for it.

Did Roxio Easy Media Creator do it to me or is Windows XP Professional Installer the problem?

If I need to supply any other info, let me know.

    Jim

If you right click and drag, when you drop the file where you want it, a box will open and you can select "copy here" or "move here ".

Thank you for all who replied to me.

I have downloaded and run the Installer Cleanup program from Windows.

    Thanks.
