When I try to login with one of my 4 user accounts, I click on the name and the password window opens and there is no cursor to login. If I reboot the comp. it will show up. Also, one of the accounts has no password. If I enter this account, then leave that account, sometimes, I get a cursor.

This is a known bug created by installing IE 7.

Press CTRL + ALT + DEL twice and you should get into the system without a problem. Press the combination (of all three keys at once) twice, then enter your user/password in the Classic logon screen.

Microsoft is aware of the problem. There has not been a fix released yet.

I haven't installed IE7 yet, I was going to wait a while for MS to fix some of the bugs first, because, we all know there ARE bugs!!!

There is a KB article several blame, KB92010, although it is not clear it is in fact the issue.

The problem began to surface in quantity with the August Hotfixes, and accelerated during October and November 2006. If so, and not using IE 7, the blame likely lies in a Cumulative Update for IE 6 SP1.

As I said above, Microsoft is aware of the problem. And at least to date has not issue a fix.

The workaround I gave above should work, or use Control Panel, User Accounts applet and Change the way users logon and logoff and avoid the Welcome Screen logon for now.

You will not find me a willing believer that one should avoid IE 7. It is in my opinion without question a superior product to any IE 6 release.
