Windows XP Pro & AOL 7

Hey folks... I ran into a problem with these 2 items the other day and wanted to know if anyonelse had similar problems and if there's a solution:

I recently installed Windows XP Professional without a hitch the other day.. installed the modem driver then AOL 7.0. That's where the problem starts. After starting AOL and logging on, the screen hangs up at the "Checking Password" screen then hangs up the system. Nevertheless, the system does not log in.

Can anyone assist?

Do you have the XP firewall running? If so, you may have a blocked-port issue of some sort.
