Windows XP or Vista

    If I buy a Microsoft Vista Laptop, can I install Windows XP Professional and take out Vista-I have a brand new legal Windows XP Professional disc that I can use. If so, how do I do this?

    It depends on if you can find XP drivers for the machine. Some you can and many you can't...

    Course Dell and a few others still sell lappy's with XP on them.

    If you can't buy it that way I would not go to the trouble of uninstalling and reinstalling.

    Its like Steve said you have to round up all the drivers and Apps like Office Suites etc.

    And surely you don't want to miss out on all the Hard disk stuffers Dell puts on 60 day trials etc.:D

    I don't care for it either but you will have to come around anyway.

    Vista SP1 has improved it some and I expect there will soon be a slew of new fixes.

    Thanks for your reply. I really am not interested in those 90 day trials as I delete them anyway.
