Hi ... I have a ibm computer here with windows 98 preinstall on it , it comes with this product recovery & diagnostics disk which basically means i can reformat and reinstall 98 back with this disk ... Now i have a full version windows xp pro .... So what i did was a fdisk format and just install xp on the computer only now whether its a problem or not ??? Not really sure but my xp is on my c drive .. I was told it should be on anything but the c drive is this correct and if so is there a way to fix this ???

    Hi Snooker,

You have been misinformed - C Drive - the Root Drive - is exactly where a single installation of an OS e.g. XP, should be.

As you formatted - I assume - your Win 98 installation is gone.
