Maybe someone can help me with a situation. I have several computers running Windows XP Home located on one workgroup. Then on another workgroup I have a few computers running Windows XP Pro. Both workgroups are run through a switch. How can I set this so that one workgroup not only does not access the other workgroup, but does not even see the other workgroup. For what its worth, there is no server involved, just workstations. Thank you in advance.

The 2 different workgroups are already named differently.

You could change the IP Subnet on one of the work groups...
This would be as long as they do not share any network resources... IE Internet or printers...
If you set one work group on a Class A subnet...
    IE IP address of 10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.255
    Subnet of 255.0.0.0

And the second workgroup on Class C
    IE IP address of 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.255
    Subnet of 255.255.255.0

It will be impossible for the two differnet work groups to see each other...

Great advice - almost. One little thing.

Probably just a typo but DO NOT set up a PC with an IP ending in 255. This is the standard broadcast address and a PC using it will do some very strange things.
