Windows xp network wacky possible missing dlls

    My windows xp is acting very strange i canot go to some network sites and when i check my network and internet setting it shows no network connection installd and no internet connection . is i do a tcpip test it fails i check my firewall is ok turn it completly off no virus on same result try to reinstall / upgrade windows as will not boot repair windows it fails cant find files. I think i need to replace(or are missing) / check all dlls that have to do with network / internet agin if i can get a list of the dlls i can check that they are present

    Regcure no help SFC no help also

    I have regcure (registerd version as the free version olly fixs a few things) it scans and says it fixs the errors it finds a day later it is full of errors agin and my network problem is never any better scan and repair or not. i ran sfc /scannow it asks for the windows cd takes a long time to load up then files then when done quits with no messages. then still the same problen

    Try removing & reinstalling your network.

    That is correct - to see if any files were replaced look in Event Viewer between the 2 entries shown in the attached screenshot .....

    What is correct ? How do i see event viewer as i posted sfc/scannow makes me put in a cd then after awhile (after commpleateing scan) closes with nothing shown.

    The fact that when SFC finishes there is no closing dialog - no message - no nothing :)

    To access Event Viewer either .....

    Right click My Computer icon > Manage > Event Viewer, or ....

    Start > Run > eventvwr.msc > Enter
