AMD: Windows Vista Not as Stable as Windows XP
    Thursday, 10 May 2007

ImageDriver performance in Windows Vista compared to Windows XP is one of the subjects addressed by Henri Richard, executive vice president and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at AMD, during a company webcast event for bloggers.
In terms of performance, Windows Vista has suffered numerous comparisons with the predecessor operating system, Windows XP. And it is only natural for this to happen as Vista is designed to represent the evolution of the Windows platform and the next step from XP.
But when it comes to performance, Vista users have failed to be convinced over the superiority of the operating system over XP. Windows Vista does leave something to be desired. It is not a generalized feeling, but one that is focused on details across the operating system.

This is also one of the reasons fueling the customer belief that the first service pack for Windows Vista should be the right moment to jump to the new operating system. At this time, Microsoft only revealed that Vista SP1 is coming by the end of 2007, but that it will fail to deliver major enhancements to the operating system

And when XP first came out 98SE was more stable than XP. But look at XP now. Tell me how bad Vista is after SP2.
