I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite A105 S4274. I bought it from a one owner used lady. I had the OS Windows XP Media Center Edition. I had great sound and clear screen for an older model laptop. I just couldn't stand all the start ups that took so long to load. I bought a software that was supposed to clean registery and delete or fix broken/missing files, and alot more and it wasn't cheap. Well I had to shut down the security I had installed because this had its own firewall and protection. Well when I finnaly got the program installed it seemed to be helping I went to show my boyfriend how mush faster it was already. I had just let my security updadte its self, I forgot to disable it again and when I restarted my computer I couldn't even log in, in safe mode. It would take my password and say logging in / loading settings and that fast it would say logging off/ windows is shutting down, saving personal settings and then would not turn off it would freeze. So I have fixed my PC several times, I knew that it had to be reformatted and start from scratch. Well my PC has XP Home Edition and I borrowed a cd to reinstall it and I used my product key. It worked, but I didn't realize that this media center is not that easy to just find a disc and use it to register with. I had a friend who used an XP professinal disc and now my windows isn;t validated I can't update or anything.

Does anyone know where or how I could get the right OS CD's?

Suggest looking on eBay, but tread carefully :)
