Windows XP keeps logging off

    Hi,my mother in law cannot log on to her PC.She clicks on her account name and it will start to load up but then goes to the logging off screen.She has tried reinstalling XP but its doing the same thing.
    I would be very grateful for any ideas what the problem could be and any advice,
