I have an HP Pavilion DV6000 Laptop that refuses to start windows XP. I finally got to see the error screen. The screen tells me that there is a problem detected and windows has been shut down, duh. The next thing I see UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. The error goes on to talk and hardware and software issues, but to my knowledge no new hardware or software has been installed. Finally I see the Stop information: 0X000000ED (0X857A56A0, 0XC000009C, 0X00000000, 0X00000000). Do I have a hard drive problem. I looked in the Setup Utility and I do not see a hard drive in the boot list.
