    Recently I have been getting an odd problem - when I try to open a Spreadsheet file I get a message

    "Cannot change document <path>.
    Document is Read Only or already open (    it's not).
    To change file (    I'm only trying to open it) save with a different file name."

    If I click the OK button it opens anyway. If I change the file name as suggested it makes no difference - I get the same message for the 'new' file. I've tried re-installing the program, with no effect.
    Perhaps someone with knowledge of this archaic program can assist? Thanks.
