my graphics or video card or whateverever u call it is intergrated into the motherboard. cam i buy another card to correct the problem that im having

    Hi marblehill,

    Welcome to windowsbbs!

Your problem can have various hardware causes and requires more diagnosis. Some questions are in order.

Video chip failure is certainly possible and might be fixed by turning off the onboard video and installing a new video card, but wait till we get more information.

Run a memory test program to test main memory first. Use the microsoft test program downloadable by clicking this underlined url.

How often do you turn off the computer, daily or do you leave it run?

How long does the computer run after the re installation disks are used before you have to reinstall again?

How much RAM do you have installed? Believe you need 512MB minimum to run well because of sharing with the video.

It would also be a help to record the first line of the BSOD that contains the numbers starting with 0x... and post it here.
