i have a Toshiba satellite laptop with window vista home premium operating system. 32 bit It worked fine for two years. suddenly it won't boot up. Once you put in your password it stops at welcome and goes not further.
I press f8 and get repair screen It takes my password and goes to a screen where there are repair options. None of them work. Have any of you come across anything like this and can it be repaired. I thank you for any help you can give me. Alan

Boot into Safe Mode (F8 at startup) and see if it runs there. If so, go to Start (orb) and type msconfig into the Start Search bar. Open msconfig.exe and go to the Startup tab, uncheck all the boxes, you should then be able to restart normally. Go back to msconfig and recheck one or two at a time (antimalware first), until you isolate the program that is causing it.
