Hello All, (not sure I’m in the correct forum)

My laptop is having trouble opening Windows.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium – SP2, 32-Bit operating system

Windows works fine but when the laptop gets closed down for whatever reason, power cut etc. Windows Vista has difficulty starting when laptop is turned on.

The laptop starts ok and shows the HP screen but can’t get Vista going.

I usually have to continually turn it off and on again many times, sometimes leaving it on the HP screen for a long time and eventually after many, many attempts it seems to start Vista.

I do not have a Boot Disk and once I get the problem fixed would like to make one.

Any advice on how to fix the issue please.

You should always try to do a regular "graceful" shutdown...
There is no way to help this out except for you to avoid bad shutdown.

Getting a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) is something to consider.

To burn Windows Vista to a USB drive using Easy USB Creator 2.0, simply follow these steps:
    1. Download USB Creator 2.0.
    2. Install Easy USB Creator 2.0.
    3. Browse the Windows Vista ISO Image to load at the ISO File field.
    4. Select the destination of your USB Drive at the Destination Drive field.
    5. Start.

I've used this many times: https://www.hirensbootcd.org/hbcd-v152/
Hiren's Boot CD was invaluable back in the days of XP and Vista.
