All my Computer Spec's should be in my profile.

The problem : My wife recently had some very weird keyboard issues on the laptop. When she would hit a letter like "e" for example mass amounts of signs/letters would appear, like "q^u(l* ". So for each letter hit it would result in a 5-8 strand of random keys.

I was not home at the time or i would have told her to stop right there and reinstalled a driver or searched for Mal-ware and fixed it no problem. But... she decided to restart the laptop, i however have a password that must be entered to access the desktop. I can not login because when i type the keys must still be messed up. I start typing my password and **** will pop up for some and none for others.

So I decided that i could just reformat the computer, but when entering the BIO's i found that NONE of the arrow keys work. Only some f keys register.

I strongly believe its a software issue and not the keyboard. I have plugged in a usb keyboard but the same problem happened. My main keyboard port has been broken for over a year.

Any ideas of how i can reformat with fixing my keyboard?

Sorry to say, but if the keys don't work in BIOS, it is not a software issue.

Since it's a laptop, you'll probably have to find a repair shop to have the keyboard checked/replaced.

That would make sense but if it was a keyboard issue then why would plugging in a brand new keyboard not fix that?

That only strengtheners my suspicion you have failing hardware.
