When logging off, my lap top froze (hanging?) in the Logging off screen. Prior to logging off, I was attempting to install a number of Windows Updates but my attempt kept receiving message "updates currently in progress. Please try again in a few minutes ". Help please.

I'm now up and running. Corrected hanging by pressing and holding power button down for 10 seconds which shut down lap top. Rebooted machine which is now running with updates installed during reboot. Thanx.
