I had an app that used to run. Had to reinstall xp and when I re-install and try to run this app I get:

"Unable to start the application. The Microsoft virtual machine cannot be found.

    Class not registered "

How do I fix this problem

Virtual Machine comes with SP1 for XP. Alternatively go here
    http://www.krm.com/techsupport/tech-downloads_mvm.html

P.S. I am just guessing why you had VM earlier, but then not. VM might have come with the earliest edition of XP, but then because of patent problems was omitted until SP1 was issued.

No, it didn't come with the original XP, but as soon as you hit a Web page needing it, it would prompt you to download.

Due to the ongoing spat between MS & Sun, MS removed that capability, and included the VM in SP 1.
