I have owned my copy of XP Home for at least five years now but suddenly Microsoft has decided that " I might be a victim of software counterfeiting ".
If I open IE and run the validation tool again it passes, but at the next reboot the nag screen is back again. After visiting the Microsoft data base I discovered
a diagnostic software that was supposed to repair the validation process. Everything passes but one.....Cryptography check and I get the following error code.....0x80004005

Ohter than the annoying nag screen at start up everything works as it should.
