    Hi

I have a very long list of windows updates on the add/remove. Is it necessary to keep them all or do the latest updates override the previous ones and can I delete some of the older ones?

Thank you for any advice you can give me

    Need to leave em alone.

WinXP has an option to "hide" them in the add/remove box...

  3. to hide this advert.

    Hi Steve...

Stupid question but how do you hide the "Windows Update" in the Add/Remove box?

dobhar--I think Steve's suggestion is to hide the individual Updates. And apparently this is something you can do in WinXP. In Win98 and probably most WinOS before XP, this tweak does not exist, although you can add it by using TweakUI. In any event, it is not "Windows Update" that you are going to hide. It does not appear in Add/Remove, since it is not a program or application, but rather a website.

Oooops. It's probably one of the new option in SP2. It's at the top right when you open add/remove.

SP2 (final release) is due out in June.
