Windows Vista [Windows updates do not configure properly]

    hi all im new to this thred. my problem is when i try to update my windows vist i get told the updates did not configure properly. can any one tell me how ti fix this. I am new to using vista so plz keep it as simple as you can thanks for your help

    Hi fireman96. Which updates aren't configuring properly? Have you tried downloading the windows updates from the microsoft website and then installing them manually? Try shutting down all backround programs that are running in the system tray in the taskbar to avoid any conflicts with the installation.

    ok thanks i will give that a try im not sure witch one arent downloading as i have mine sey up to auto download
