Resolved Windows update will not start

    I am cleaning up the church laptop (Dell). Running win7 home premium.

    When I go to control panel and tap windows update all I get only the blue circle and update never starts.

    I tried search for windows update and it brought up over 2000 posts.

    Can someone help me out? Thanks.

    Thanks Pete. I'll try that when I see the laptop next week. I'll let you know if it fixed the prob.

    Yes, the problem is over. I followed the link and it fixed it right up....
