Windows update problems

    I have today started getting problems with connecting to the windows update when the first page comes up that says checking for the latest... it doesn't move I have now set it to automatic updates for now hoping that will work, does anyone have any idea what can be going on? I have also noticed that sometimes when surfing I am getting the source code of webpages instead of the page in IE.

    i had a similar problem. mine forze after i selected express install or the other one (forgot wht teh name is). Disable your firewall.or tell it to allow ALL traffic coming through Internet Explorer. I just disable mine. But, right after i post this, im gonna try n confif it properly. If you use Sygate Personal Firewall, I can help. otherwise, I dont know the menus...
