Windows Vista Windows update error 80070490

Everytime I try and update my Vista Ultimate installation through Windows Update I keep coming up with the same four errors, this is one of them (all of the errors seem to be the same in all four updates so I included the names with this one):

Security Update for Windows Vista (KB967723)
Update for Windows Vista (KB979306)
Update for Windows Vista (KB970430)
Update for Windows Vista (KB972145)

Installation date: ‎17/‎03/‎2010 1:44 p.m.

Installation status: Failed

Error details: Code 80070490

Update type: Important

I have done google searches and the results I have come up with suggest that is a somewhat serius problem, can anyone help with this? I also included a HijackThis log (pasted here as it seems I cannot upload the .log):
