Windows update custom for Win 8

    Is there a way to do a windows update for Windows 8, custom, where I can pick the ones I want to install? I have doing this on my XP system for years, but can not figure out how to do this on my new Windows 8 laptop.

    Go to Windows Update and on the left of screen click on Change Settings and you can change it in there.

    Hi Gordon. On your Window 8 laptop if you open Windows Update, you can select the updates that you want to install. From there you can select the checkboxes of the updates that will be installed and you can uncheck the updates and hide certain ones that you don't want offered to you again.
