Windows Update Agent 5..802469

    In OE6 I am unable to Export messages due to "The MAPI spooler could not be started.

    Another option provided was to install Windows Live Mail but that can't be done until I install Windows Update Agent 5..802469.

    It seems that is not readily available as a free download but perhaps others know better.

    It would of course be preferable to have both options fully functional.

    (a) Export
    (b) Live Mail

    Nup....This time MAPI could not be initialized.

    Try re-registering OE and it's associated library files as outlined here ....

    An Outlook Express basic repair kit

    Note that regsvr32 msjava.dll may fail - this is of no consequence because it is unlikely you have MS Java installed.

    Did everything except the Repair.

    Nothings changed...obviously can import but not export.

    I have scoured Google and cannot find any hit related to your error message and Outlok Express - Outlook, yes.

    As a matter of interest where are you trying to export the messages to?

    Anywhere...to another drive, another folder, any seperate storage. USB..
    Can export Address book but not messages
