I have tried installing this pack via both windows automatic update and by downloading the installer. In both cases it inspects files, performs a backup, inspects the registry, and then begins installation. About halfway through installation it stops with a dialogue saying "Service Pack 2 Setup Canceled ".
Windows Support Centre has no help on this matter. Can anyone help? I run Windows XP Home Edition.
    Cheers,
    Matt

    Hello Matt,

Not much to go on and in the absence of anything specific, to get SP2 on, you can try re installing XP and then installing SP2 immediately or slipstreaming SP2 with the XP cd, if you have one http://www.helpwithwindows.com/WindowsXP/winxp-sp2-bootcd.html
