I have a Soundblaster card and software that will allow me to record LPs to CD.

I cannot hear the sound played thru my input jack altho something seems to be recording to disk. I can hear disk wave files played thru the windows recorder and can hear music CDs thru the Windows Media Player.

Make sure that your software is set to record sound from the inputs. There should be something in your Options that allows you to set your sound source. Also check in your Windows mixer Options>Properties>Record and make sure that what you wish to record from is not muted.

    Thanks for the Fast Reply.

I was misinterpreting the X box due to not reading it !!!!

I was reading it as X to mute, instead of X to use.

    Now all is fine...
