Windows push notification service stopped working

    Has happened occasionally in the past and again over the past couple of days.
    According to the Reliability Monitor it seems to happen at around, or during, shutdown.

    Is this something to be concerned about, or is it just another inexplicable MS message?

    This is not normal and sounds like you might have a corrupt system file. I recommend you run SFC as seen here.
