windows picture viewer- can't edit(crop/flip/redeye...) pictures anymore

    OK I always opened pics in windows photo veiwer. There was an edit button, it let me flip pictures, fix brightness and ALL kinds of options, redeye ect...

    Now all of a sudden photoviewer only has- file,print,email,burn and open (in other programs) options. Now edit :( I can open it in Windows Live Photo Gallery to edit, but it is NOT as good as what I had.

    What happened? Did a Windows 7 update change this? It makes it really hard to work with pictures. HELP!!
